As a globally recognized pioneer in functional and integrative psychiatry, I was pleased to contribute to an article recently published in Woman’s World titled “The Best Natural Remedies for ADHD, From Foods to Supplements to Easy Daily Habits.” This article highlights many foundational strategies I have long recommended in my clinical practice, teachings, and book, Finally Focused, a breakthrough natural treatment plan for ADHD.
In this article, I emphasize the importance of nutritional interventions to manage ADHD symptoms, including B vitamins, magnesium, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids—approaches central to my integrative psychiatry methodology. Additionally, I discuss lifestyle adjustments such as regular exercise, interpersonal connection, and social interaction—evidence-supported strategies for alleviating ADHD symptoms.
Training on the Biological Foundations of ADHD
Natural modalities are essential to the educational programs at Psychiatry Redefined, especially our Functional Psychiatry Fellowships. Fellows in our programs receive thorough training on the biological foundations of ADHD, understanding nutritional imbalances, and developing personalized, integrative treatment plans that incorporate Nutritional Psychiatry, principles of functional medicine, and lifestyle adjustments.
At Psychiatry Redefined, we aim to bridge traditional psychiatric approaches with emerging scientific insights, allowing clinicians to provide personalized, comprehensive mental health care for true recovery.
I am glad that the Woman’s World article raises awareness about natural ADHD treatments, emphasizing functional approaches that go beyond just managing symptoms to achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in quality of life.
